On this day one year ago Natalie posted our first blog post. One year, and fifty three posts later, here we are in Vancouver. I thought it would be interesting to look back over the last year and see how many people have actually taken an interest in what we had to say. The results are quite impressive, if I do say so myself!
In total we have had 10,108 visits (3,000 or so are probably Natalie and I), from 5,089 unique visitors. Over 5,000 people have been here! Crazy! Those visitors have spent on average 3 minutes and 7 seconds on each visit, and viewed on average 5 pages per visit, which means there has been over 50,000 pageviews.
Around the same time last year we also set up the Experience Canada UK forums, a place for people moving to Canada on the IEC programme from the UK. The forums now have over 400 members, and there has been over 2,500 posts covering a whole range of different topics, from where to move and who to fly with, to getting a job and finding a dentist.
In the last year the forum has had 40,630 visits, from 16,822 unique visitors, and with a total of 231,709 pageviews. One topic in particular, the ‘IEC 2013‘ thread, had over 62,000 views!
There’s not a great deal of point to this post, I just thought I’d mark the occasion of our first year with some mind numbingly boring analytics. Back to the fun stuff for our next post, which will likely be after our trip to Seattle!
To make this post somewhat worthwhile, here is a picture of my Mum’s cat, Sylvie, looking extremely unimpressed with her FaceTime chat with Natalie and I. Also, the featured image at the top of this post is the amazing sunrise we had in Vancouver this morning!
